Should I get my hair done at a beauty college?

I need to get my roots bleached, I want my peek-a-boos to be a little bit bigger(more bleaching) and they need to be dyed purple again. My problem is that I'm short for cash.. Should I get it done at a beauty college or is that a recipe for disaster?

  1. go for it. hair can always be fixed.
  2. Have an experienced friend help you or just get it done professionally. You don't know how it would turn out if you went there.
  3. NO WAY!!!!!
  4. Recipe for disaster......if your the type (like me) that is going to flip out if something bad happens, and you want it to be perfect...DON"T DO IT!! I'd wait till ya got the $$.
  5. i haven't had my hair dyed but my friends have and it turned out decent. just don't get you nails done there they suck at doing nails.
  6. go to the beauty college and get the girl who's best in the class.
  7. i would save my money and get it done professionally. if they mess it up it will cost way more to fix it then it would if you had just got it done professionally the first time
  8. My cousin bleached her hair quite a few times and the pigment left her hair permanently. It now grows colourless i.e. totally white. I would advise not bleaching your hair at all.
  9. No. Go to a refutable hair salon. Wait until you have enough cash. It'll be worth it.
  10. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. It should be perfectly alright to go to a beauty college to have it done. They they have instructors keeping an eye on what's going on and to answer any questions, and they go through plenty of classwork and practice on those dummy heads. They usually do a pretty good job, depending on the school and the person I'm sure, and the ones around here usually fix it for free if they mess it up.
  12. just find a beauty salon
  13. NO! My daughter got her hair cut at a beauty college and they cut it so wrong. Her hair was long and she wanted it layered, they just chopped half her hair up to her shoulders and then she had a long piece hanging out from underneath,it was weird. She didn't learn the first time, she went back and got high lights in her dark hair, they just bleached out chunks in the front and gave her the skunk look. She tried dyeing those pieces back to a dark color, but the hair was so porous that the color would not hold,so she eventually had to have it cut. Not all mistakes can be fixed. Some can take two years or more to fix if you don't want to cut allot of your hair off.
  14. first off your young enough to have the hair grow back and grow back fairly fast too. so why not let them do their thing on you for a just a little money or no money at all.. just tell them what you want, and if it isn't exactly..BE NICE..say thanks..smile and leave..that's it.. no big deal..it will grow back..before you know it.. but why even think that way..why think they are going to mess up your hair.. they will be trying their hardest to do the best job... so go for it smile have fun you'll look great no matter what... good luck smile
