Benjamin franklin quotes? help!?

I put D for the first one and A for the second one. Help me out here thanks! Which of the sayings below can be paraphrased like this: You can be smart, but that does not mean you are educated. If your heart is wax don't walk in the sun. He that scatters Thorns, let him not go barefoot. Genius without education is like silver in the mine. If Jack's in love, he's no judge of Jill's beauty. “Three may keep a secret if two of them are dead” is one of Benjamin Franklin’s famous aphorisms. What do you suppose he meant by this particular aphorism? Dead men tell no lies. It is best to tell your secret to no more than three people. Two people can keep a secret. Three cannot. If you do not want anyone to know your secret, it is best to tell no one!

  1. The correct answer for the first one would be C, the correct answer for the second one would be D. Why? A genius is a person who is smart without education - the quotation given here says that´s like silver in the mine, meaning: it is not of great use, it still has to be digged out (or whatever you do to silver in a mine). Franklin says "natural" genius is a fine thing, but it needs to be "processed" in some way - you need to get a proper education. "Dead men tell no lies" - yes, but the aphorism by Benjamin Franklin does not refer to telling lies or telling the truth, but to people keeping secrets. If he says that "three may keep a secret if two of them are dead", he states that basically, nobody can keep a secret as long as there are people around who you could talk to. So D is the correct answer here: best not tell anybody. Hope that helps. :)
